Sanjay Pasrija founded Lamp Post Kids in Mumbai in 2004 with a simple mission — to provide educational support and hope to underprivileged children who lacked access to quality learning opportunities. What started as evening lessons for a few children studying under a street lamp gradually grew into a community-driven educational initiative impacting many young lives. With the support of dedicated volunteers and community members, Lamp Post Kids expanded beyond academics to focus on overall child development, including communication skills, mentorship, social awareness, and confidence building. Over the years, the initiative has helped several students continue their education, with many becoming the first in their families to attend college.Sanjay strongly believes that education has the power to transform lives and create long-term social impact. Even after moving internationally for professional responsibilities, he continued guiding and supporting the initiative while staying closely connected with the students and volunteers.
